Nancy Drapeau
Nancy Drapeau, PRC, joined the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) as its Research Director in January 2011.
Ms. Drapeau began her market research career in 1991, registering more than 19 years experience, with 12 years specifically in the trade media sector.
For ten years, she managed the market research function at Diversified Business. She has executed more than one hundred standard visitor/exhibitor research studies, numerous strategic research initiatives, and dozens of multilingual studies for product groups and senior management. She has managed market research studies for the company’s US-based, Argentine-based and UK-based events and publications.
Ms. Drapeau launched her full-time market research practice in September 2008. She has a passion for delivering custom, primary market research services that uncover key market insights that drive profitable business decisions. Since this time, she has serviced the needs of a range of trade event organizers, from leading, international event organizations to smaller, start-up firms. Initiatives have assisted organizers in brand positioning, attendee marketing and assessment of launch opportunities. She has conducted research that helped frame recruitment for a trade mission to China; among other initiatives. She conducted the CEIR Study, “Analyzing How Exhibits Fit in the Overall Marketing Budget;” as well as a nationally broadcast Webinar on the topic for the newly established International Center for Exhibitor and Event Marketing www.iceem.net . She recently authored the report which summarized the results of the research for “The Power of Exhibitions in the 21st Century: Phase II.”
She holds Professional Research Certification (PRC) with the national Marketing Research Association in quantitative research and is a Nielsen/Burke Institute trained focus group moderator. She holds a Masters from l’Institut Européen des Hautes Études Internationales in International Studies from Nice, France and a B.A. in Political Science from Georgetown University.
