New Research Slated for 2012

by Joyce on February 14, 2012

Last week, at the CEIR offices, I asked Nancy Drapeau, PRC, Director of Research what the plans are for new research initiatives for 2012.  I captured her response in this video during which she outlines the exciting update of a 2012 research study which revolves around the value of face-to-face interactions. What aspect of these exchanges are valued by the attendees and exhibitors?  And which are most valued in relation to the purchasing process?

In this study, the various types of face-to-face factors will be analyzed.  We will uncover which type of exchanges the attendee prefers, such as:

  • small demonstrations
  • individual conversations with booth personnel
  • theater presentations
  • among others

The timeframe for completion of the study is by the by the IAEE Mid-Year Meeting in June.

In the video, Nancy talks about the quarterly quick polls on topics of interest for the IAEE and CEIR community.  If there is a particular topic you would like to see surveyed in these quick polls, please contact Nancy at ndrapeau@ceir.org.
